A military family behind the mission
Founder David Dion is an Air Force veteran. One of his sons is a Navy veteran, and another is serving on active duty. That family connection is the reason this resource exists.
Our purpose is to make useful information easier to find: how ratings combine, what a payment estimate means, where to get accredited help, and which other benefits deserve attention.
Why David created this resource
David wanted a free resource that helps veterans understand compensation they may qualify for and take an informed next step. His own Air Force service, a son’s Navy service, and another son’s active-duty service make the subject personal to his family.
The site begins with a practical question: what do individual ratings mean when combined? From there, the guides explain payment estimates, dependents, claim preparation, and where to find qualified help. VA home loans are included because disability compensation is only one part of the benefits available to military families.
The mission is to support legitimate, accurately documented claims. We do not decide who deserves an award, judge a person by whether their disability is visible, or teach people to exaggerate symptoms. Eligibility and ratings are VA decisions.

Free to use, independent of VA
The calculator and guides are free. We are not part of the Department of Veterans Affairs, a law firm, or an accredited claims organization. We do not submit claims or promise a particular outcome.
The long-term plan is to support the resource through advertising and clearly disclosed sponsorships. Google AdSense code is installed to support advertising, subject to Google approval and account settings. Lender referrals are not active. Educational information will remain separate from paid placements.

We welcome the possibility of working with qualified, VA-accredited reviewers as the resource develops. Until that review exists, we will not imply that articles carry professional approval. Every guide links to the official information used to prepare it.
